"Cryo-electron Microscopy of Icosahedral and Non-icosahedral Membrane Viruses:
SFV, phi-6, and HIV."
Steve Fuller runs the cryoelectron microscopy lab at EMBL Heidelburg and is a leading exponent of the technique. He is involved in a direct collaboration with IAH in the European Community funded research project "The Structures of dsRNA Viruses" , which include both BTV and the three segmented dsRNA phage phi-6. Steve will talk about the recent development and use of cryo electron microscopy as one of the methods used to analyse virus structures. It is hoped that his involvement with electronmicroscopy at IAH will increase in the foreseeable future.
